How does it work…?
New members are issued with a unique game number which is entered into each draw, provided their subscription payment is up to date 104 of these game numbers are selected at random by computer every Friday, ensuring we always have 104 cash winners every week drawn from our local membership.
(Please note, by law, all lottery payments must be made in advance of the weekly draw so if a payment is missed for whatever reason we cannot enter a member’s number in that week’s draw.)
We have a weekly prize fund of £1725.00, which breaks down as follows:
- Top prize: £1,000
- Second prize: £125
- Third prize: £75
- Fourth Prize: £25
- plus 100 prizes of £5

Members who subscribe by cheque are sent a reminder several weeks before their payment is due to expire.
Quarterly payments are £13, twice yearly renewal costs £26, and an annual subscription is £52.
Standing Order payments are even easier. Members simply fill in our straightforward Standing Order Mandate and send it in along with an application form and initial payment.
Members who opt to pay by Standing Order can choose from the following payment levels
- £4.34 every month
- £13 every 13 weeks
- £26 every 26 weeks
- £52 every 52 weeks
If a member wishes to cancel their Standing Order at any time, they must contact their bank and make a simple telephone call to the One Wish office on 01325 288 484. There’s no tie-in period, or cancellation penalty. Download the Standing Order mandate
We also have the facilty to take payments by Credit/Debit card, which is proving very popular and convienient. We accept the following types
Members who have chosen to pay in cash are allocated a local doorstep Collector (where available) who will call at their home on a regular basis, either on a 4 or 5 week interval.
One Wish Collectors will always wear their identification badge prominently and fill in the member’s payment details in their presence using a ballpoint pen, not a pencil. One Wish Collectors work hard to uphold the highest standards of reliability, friendliness and honesty, but this is the method of payment most expensive to administer; And every penny we can save on costs goes straight to our partner hospices so members who pay by cheque, Card or standing order are actually giving 10-20% extra.

Lists of winning numbers are also available from our offices. Using a similar system to Premium Bonds, prizes are automatically posted out so members don’t need to check their numbers or submit a claim.
